Age of Mythology is a popular strategy game that launched in 2002. You take command of various Egyptian, Greek, and Norse deities and have to build your civilizations from the ground up. The game is a lot like Age of Empires, except there are a lot of supernatural abilities involved. I loved it even more than Age of Empires because of the lore. Unfortunately, we haven't had a proper sequel, but that may be about to change.

Age of Empires Creative Director Adam Isgreen said that the company wouldn't leave Age of Mythology behind. He said the following in an interview with Eurogamer.

It's great to see how much love there is for Age of Mythology, because I love it too - it's more of a less accurate history. It's super loose, people just have fun, and I love that too. So we're going to be doing a patch for Age of Mythology: Extended Edition really soon, because there are some exploits and some things out there that we know players would love us to get rid of, so we're going to be doing that. After we get through the Definitive Editions for the three here, and Age of Empires 4 is kind of rolling, then we're going to look back and see what we can do with Myth. Because I love Myth, we're not going to leave it behind, we'll figure out what to do with it then.

It's unclear if Isgreen means that the game will get a sequel or a proper remaster. Either ways, we can't wait to find out after Age of Empires 4 launches. What do you want from the franchise? Let us know.
