Everything Ubisoft announced at E3 2018

Today, Ubisoft held its annual E3 press event in Los Angeles. A lot of new games were announced and we got an in-depth look at Assassin's Creed Odyssey on Xbox One X. You can read about everything the publisher revealed at the press event below.

Just Dance 2019

As has become tradition, the Ubisoft E3 2018 briefing opened with an awkward panda dancing through the streets to the Los Angeles venue. Just Dance 2019 is coming to a variety of platforms on October 23, 2018.

Beyond Good and Evil 2

The highlight of the show had to be Beyond Good and Evil 2. The game got a new trailer showcasing the grittiness of the world and the threats that inhabit space. Apparently Jade is the villain of the game even though it's a prequel. Pey'j also makes an appearance. You play as a space pirate captain at the end of the 24th century. Ganesha City is just one of the locations you'll discover which is a sprawling metropolis filled with opportunities and threats.

Rainbow Six Siege

Rainbow Six Siege crossed 35 million players and more content was promised for the future.

Trials Rising

There's a new Trials game coming to Xbox One and other platforms next year. Trials Rising was announced in hilarious fashion and takes you around the world to iconic locations. People who are really good at the previous games helped design the tutorial and levels of this one. The game should launch in February 2019.

The Division 2

The Division 2 got a new trailer at Ubisoft's event. The game features a story-based campaign which allows you to pick a specialization. Eight players can partner together for raids, and those who purchase the game will get access to three free episodes during the first year. As was announced at the Xbox E3 2018 briefing, the title should launch on March 15, 2019.

Skull & Bones

Skull & Bones is eerily similar to Sea of Thieves. We got a new trailer and a better look at the gameplay. The title takes place in a reactive world where fortune tellers provide insight. Just like the other title in the genre, it takes place in a shared world where every player encounter matters. However, it doesn't seem like the game allows you to openly explore islands. The mechanic behind boarding a ship also feels like it's more cutscene-dependent than interactive. Skull & Bones should launch in 2019.

Transference

Transference is a first-person exploration game which requires you to escape a corrupted mind. It's coming to "traditional platforms" as well as virtual reality in Fall 2018. Actor Elijah Wood described it as a "mind-bending psychological thriller".

Starlink: Battle for Atlas is coming to Xbox One on October 16 this year. The game is all about buying physical spaceship models and using them in battle.

For Honor: Marching Fire

For Honor: Starter Edition is going free on PC for a week. The title is also getting Chinese fighters and a castle siege mode with its "Marching Fire" expansion.

The Crew 2

Ubisoft reminded everyone that The Crew 2 would be available later this month. That was really it oddly enough.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey

The leak-ridden Assassin's Creed Odyssey was finally announced and it takes place during the Peloponnesian Wars. The year is 431 BCE and you play as a mercenary who eventually becomes a hero to save your loved ones. You can wield powerful weapons like the "Broken Spear of Leonidas" and meet legendary figures like Socrates. Lastly, you'll also fight beasts like a terrifying minotaur. Romance options are also making an appearance with this installment.

Aside from a new Nintendo Switch exclusive, those were all of the game announcements from the Ubisoft E3 2018 conference. A lot of great experiences are coming to Xbox One in the coming months from the publisher, and hopefully, you're as excited as we are for games like Assassin's Creed Odyssey and Beyond Good and Evil 2.
