Get ready to return to the skies once more. Microsoft Flight Simulator has opened up recruitment for its upcoming Technical Alpha for its Insider testers. Registration is now open from the Insider area of the Microsoft Flight Simulator website.

There's no word just yet on when testing will begin, but the Microsoft Flight Simulator team says that it will release more information on the release timeline and testing goals on September 19. The following week, on September 26, the team plans to share a preview of its "Feature Discovery Series."

"A preview release of version #1.10DRR of the Development Roadmap has been posted in the Insider Area," the team said in a blog post announcing recruitment is now open. "We've added dates for October and will be adding November deliverables over the next few weeks. So expect another rev of the Development Roadmap by the end of September."

Microsoft Flight Simulator is a modern update to the classic of the same name, featuring full flight simulation and modern realistic graphics. The game is expected to release in 2020 on Xbox One and PC. Because it is an Xbox Game Studios title, it will also be included in Xbox Game Pass at launch.
