NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 may debut next week for just $149

NVIDIA launched the GeForce GTX 1660 and 1660 Ti in recent months, and the chip vendor is now turning its attention to the entry-level segment with the GTX 1650. According to VideoCardz, the GTX 1650 will be unveiled on April 23 with a retail price of just $149, making it the most affordable Turing-based offering yet.

The specs on offer are pretty decent for the asking price. The GTX 1650 will sport 896 CUDA cores and 4GB of GDDR5 video memory on a 128-bit memory interface, unlike the 192-bit width of the GTX 1660 and 1660 Ti. The card is based on a new TU117-300 silicon, and offers a base clock of 1485MHz and boost clocks of 1665MHz.

The official TDP is 75W, which means most cards will rely on the PCIe slot to draw power. ASUS, Zotac, Palit, and Gainward are set to roll out their versions of the GTX 1650 at launch, and if leaked benchmarks are any indication, the performance will be on par with the RX 580 and just shy of the GTX 1060.
