What you need to know

  • Lenovo's ThinkPad P1 Gen 4 is almost here.
  • It packs refreshed hardware that improves everything from its camera and touchpad to battery and GPU options.
  • It'll start at $2,099 when it releases in July.

Lenovo's going all out to ensure that its fourth-generation ThinkPad P1 earns its $2,099 starting price tag in consumers' eyes. The latest P1 features a 16-inch, 16:10 display, 1080p FHD camera, 5G compatibility, and more.

If you want raw power for your creative pursuits, the P1 has it. It supports up to an NVIDIA RTX A5000 GPU or NVIDIA RTX 3080 GPU, which means that no matter what sort of program you need to run, you'll have the graphical capabilities to do so. And on the CPU side of the machine, an 11th Gen Intel Core or Xeon processor will ensure the P1 has the logic and arithmetic processing capabilities necessary to complement the high-end GPU it shares a shell with.

Other standout features include the laptop's bigger touchpad and battery, better camera, top-firing Dolby Atmos speaker system, and Dolby Vision.
