Chuwi's LapBook SE hits budget pricing with a touch of style

Chuwi already has a number of laptops and tablets that firmly occupy the budget space, but it's adding another to that lineup. Called the LapBook SE, the company's latest laptop comes in at $299 and, despite the low price, carries a sleek look.

In terms of specs, the LapBook SE is powered by Intel's Celeron N4100 processor, which clocks in at a base frequency of 1.10 GHz with four cores. That's rounded out by 4GB of RAM, along with a total of 160GB of storage spread out over one 128GB M.2 SSD and a 32GB eMMC module.

The laptop packs a 13.3-inch IPS display at 1920x1080 resolution, and a borderless, backlit keyboard. In terms of styling, the LapBook SE very much looks to be taking inspiration from Apple's MacBook with sleek lines and a relatively large trackpad.

Port selection includes two USB 3.0 ports, a standard 3.5mm headphone jack, one HDMI output, and a TF card slot.

Obviously, you won't be setting any performance records with the LapBook SE. But if you're just looking for a machine to handle some web browsing, writing, or very light gaming, then the specs should back it up.

Chuwi's LapBook SE is up for order now at Gearbest for $299.99.
