Microsoft launches Surface Hub and Microsoft 365 in Hong Kong

Microsoft's massive Surface Hub is now available in Hong Kong. The company has announced Hong Kong customers are first in Greater China to get their hands on the office collaboration tool. And in addition to the Surface Hub, Microsoft is also launching Microsoft 365, a subscription bundle of Windows and Office, in Hong Kong as well.

Speaking on the launch, chairman and CEO of Microsoft Greater China Region, Alain Crozier, said:

Surface Hub as transformative to group productivity as the PC was for individuals. More than 50% of Fortune 100 companies now use Surface Hub to capture new ideas and improve collaboration and productivity. In Hong Kong, companies including conglomerates, utility companies and international tech consultancy firms are early adopters of the Surface Hub.

Surface Hub is a massive touch-enabled conference room device available in both 55-inch and 84-inch models. Packing a slightly modified version of Windows 10, the Surface Hub that combines digital whiteboard and conferencing features into a massive display.

Despite its large price tag, Microsoft revealed in December 2016 that Surface Hub demand had exceeded expectations. At teh time, Microsoft said it had shipped Surface Hubs to more than 2,000 customers in 24 markets, with the average deal landing at 50 units.
