Lenovo's retro-inspired ThinkPad Anniversary Edition 25 now available to order

Lenovo only just announced the new ThinkPad Anniversary Edition 25 to celebrate the twenty-fifth anniversary of the original ThinkPad, but it wasn't immediately available to order. However, if you're ready to buy in, the special edition laptop is now available to order from Lenovo at $,1899.

The big draw of the ThinkPad Anniversary Edition 25 is its styling, which takes liberal inspiration from the original ThinkPad to add some retro flair. Most notable is the multi-colored ThinkPad logo that lives on the bottom-right corner of the laptop's base. But enthusiasts will also spot a blue "Enter" key, a seven-row keyboard, and the ThinkPad line's signature trackpoint. A ThinkPad 25 logo rounds things out just above the keyboard.

The retro looks are backed up by more modern internals. Lenovo says the ThinkPad Anniversary Edition 25 is packed with an Intel Core i7-7500U CPU, discrete NVIDIA GeForce 940MX graphics, 16GB of RAM and 512GB of SSD storage. That's in addition to a 14-inch 1080p touch display, a fingerprint reader, and Windows Hello facial recognition.

The ThinkPad Anniversary Edition 25 is available now at $1,899.
