What you need to know

  • The Xbox Series X is the most powerful next-generation console.
  • Rumors are floating around that there's an Xbox Series S in the works.
  • A white next-generation Xbox Controller box leaked online today.
  • The box says that it works with an unannounced console called the Xbox Series S.

It's no secret that the Xbox Series X is the most powerful next-generation console launching in Holiday 2020. It features 12 teraflops (TFLOPS) of computing power, and can run some games at 4K resolution and 120 frames per second (FPS), like "Orphan of the Machine" and Halo Infinite multiplayer. However, what you probably don't know is that there are rumors floating around of a less powerful, 4 TFLOPS machine that will run games at 1080p resolution and maybe just 60 FPS.

The device is being called the Xbox Series S and today, we may have gotten some indication of its name. Today on Twitter, many users posted an image of a white next-generation Xbox Controller box that says that it works with "Xbox Series X|S."

As with any such leak, wait for an official reveal. For all we know, this could be a hoax, but given the quality of the box, it doesn't seem likely. However, we just don't know and have no way of confirming unless it was actually in our possession. What do you think? Let us know.
