HP announces refreshed Pavilion x360 lineup starting at $400

HP today unveiled a refreshed trio of Pavilion x360 laptops, hitting the budget notebook market with prices starting at $400. As part of the refresh, HP is outing new 11-inch, 14-inch, and 15.6-inch iterations of the Pavilion x360, each with updated internals and new design flourishes.

On the 11-inch Pavilion x360, HP has opted for an Intel Pentium Silver N5000 processor with a 1.1GHz base clock and 2.7GHz boost, along with a fanless design and up to, it claims, ten hours of battery life. That's rounded out by 4GB of RAM and up to 256GB of SSD storage. That's certainly not going to be powerful enough to do any major photo editing work or anything, but it should make for a solid portable laptop for general web browsing, writing, and other light tasks.

The 14-inch and 15.6-inch versions of the Pavilion x360, meanwhile, ratchet the specs and designs up a notch. Both feature processors ranging up to the 8th Generation Intel Core i7, up to 16GB of RAM, and numerous dual-storage options. On the 14-inch model, you can also select up to NVIDIA GeForce MX250 discrete graphics, while the 15-inch model allows for up to AMD Radeon 535 graphics. There's also an optional fingerprint reader on both models, along with narrow bezels on three sides of the displays.

The HP Pavilion x360 11 is expected to go on sale in May starting at $400. The Pavilion x360 14 and 15, meanwhile, are expected to launch in April and May, respectively, with prices starting at $500 and $800. All three will be initially available through HP's website, with the 11-inch and 14-inch models set to hit Best Buy in June and May, respectively.
