Battlefield V's E3 2018 trailer highlights the all-out chaos of WW2

Electronic Arts has debuted a full gameplay reveal for its upcoming Second World War shooter, Battlefield V, as a part of its E3 2018 showcase. Following an initial unveiling back in May, the publisher has provided a closer look at the game's reworked multiplayer mechanics.

Oskar Gabrielson, General Manager DICE, took to stage at EA Play 2018, providing a fresh look at the highly anticipated shooter. After previously announcing an end to the game's "Premium" season pass and loot boxes, the latest gameplay appears returns to the series' roots. Embracing full destructibility, new customizability, and advanced animations, the game doubles down on its immersive action.

Electronic Arts also mentioned a new Battlefield V "royale" mode, likely capitalizing on the industry-wide battle royale trend. While expected to follow the success of PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, Fortnite, and similar last-man-standing titles, few details were provided.

More details on Battlefield V and its single-player War Stories mode are set to debut at Microsoft's E3 2018 media briefing.
