Atomic Heart brings first-person Soviet insanity to Xbox One and PC

Once in a while, a truly unique game catches our eye. Atomic Heart is one of them. The game is a first-person shooter in which events unfold in an alternative universe. In this world, the Soviet Union is still a force to be reckoned with. The main character is a special agent, who is sent to a secret installation by the government after it goes dark. The Soviet setting, with a pitch of insanity, and a supposedly thrilling story should keep you entertained while you fight various types of enemies.

Atomic Heart should launch on Xbox One, PC, and PlayStation 4 in 2018. It's unclear if the title supports Xbox One X but we'll keep you posted as soon as we know more.

Aside from the Metro franchise, not many first-person games focus on Russia so it's great to see Atomic Heart make its way to consoles. It's unclear why the region isn't a setting for more games, but that seems to be changing nowadays. As developers try to bring new experiences to gamers, it's only natural that new settings will be explored.

Hopefully Atomic Heart be a polished product when it launches this year. The game looks like a frantic shooter so maybe the developer will focus on 60 FPS gameplay on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 as well. The demanding visuals shouldn't compromise the fluidity.
