Razer 'Turret' mouse and keyboard for Xbox One now up for preorder

Recently, Microsoft added mouse and keyboard support to Xbox One, with select titles enabled at launch for Xbox Insiders and even more coming soon. Epic Games detailed how Fortnite will be one of the first titles to offer mouse and keyboard input alongside previously-announced Warframe. However, Bomber Crew, Deep Rock Galactic, Strange Brigade, Warhammer: Vermintide 2, War Thunder, and X-Morph Defense received support in November. Developers working on Children of Morta, DayZ, Minion Master, Moonlighter, Vigor, Warface, and Wargroove also promised mouse and keyboard support in the future.

At the X018 event, Razer announced that it was the exclusive "Designed for Xbox" partner. This means that only the company's accessories will feature "Xbox Dynamic Lighting" and a dedicated "Xbox Home" button. A few days later, Razer teased a brief look at the peripheral, but it didn't provide us with a launch window or price. Many gamers thought that Razer wouldn't share any details until CES 2019, but that changed today.

Not only can you preorder the Razer "Turret" keyboard and mouse for $249.99. The package is expected to launch at the end of March 2019. However, March 31 seems like a placeholder date so that might change once it's properly showcased during the conference in a few weeks.

Razer's CEO Min-Liang Tan said, "We're extremely proud to team up with Microsoft to bring you this exclusive collaboration. With the Razer Turret for Xbox One, it is now possible to bring the full experience of a keyboard and mouse, with lighting and game integration to Xbox One." Built for reliable gaming on the couch, the Razer Turret for Xbox One offers a fast and stable 2.4 GHz wireless connection through a single dongle for the mouse and keyboard, and supposed battery life of up to forty hours on a single charge.
