- 343 Industries is launching an Xbox One test flight for Halo: Reach on MCC soon.
- Participants will need to delete their old "MCC Insider" builds from 2018.
- Additionally, participants will also need to unenroll themselves from MCC Insider flight rings.
- The primary goal of the flight will be to test the PvP experience.
Halo developer 343 Industries has announced in a development update that the transition of Halo: Reach to the Master Chief Collection (MCC) on Xbox One is getting a test flight soon, and Halo Insider participants who used to be a part of the MCC Insider program in 2018 will need to make sure that all MCC Insider builds are deleted from their Xbox One systems.
In addition, they will also need to unenroll themselves from MCC Insider flight rings. This can be done within the Xbox Insider app that all MCC Insiders used to test the MCC.
The reasoning behind this requirement is that the old MCC Insider builds have been recorded causing issues with the Halo: Reach builds that 343 Industries plans to distribute to selected Halo Insiders, which would prevent players from being able to participate in the flights for Halo: Reach. People who were not a part of the MCC Insider program in 2018 don't need to worry about any of this, although they do still need to download the free Xbox Insider app from the Microsoft Store.
In the same update, 343 Industries revealed that the goal of the flight will primarily be to test the player-versus-player (PvP) matchmaking for Halo: Reach on the MCC. In addition to that, 343 Industries is also going to be gathering information from players about how they feel the game runs, feels, and plays, as well as what they think of the PvP content offering overall.
