Warframe gets long-awaited 'Beasts of the Sanctuary' update on Xbox One

Warframe is a rather popular free-to-play game and it just got even better on Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Digital Extremes recently launched the "Beasts of the Sanctuary" update on consoles. Beasts of the Sanctuary challenges you to find the perfect balance of speed, shooting and style. You can jump into the fray by participating in the limited-time "Plague Star" event, which ends on May 21, 2018.

Warframe is a third-person shooter which takes you across space. There are linear levels as well as a massive open world to explore. According to the developer, Beasts of the Sanctuary adds the "Khora" suit. It has a lot of abilities we haven't seen before in the game. For example, it features a metallic whip that strikes from a distance and follows up with a metallic cat pet that quickly engulfs enemies in a whirlwind of pain.

Lastly, the new "Sanctuary Onslaught" mode requires squads to quickly dash through timed portals while blasting waves of powerful enemies. Both the Khora suit and Sanctuary Onslaught offer fresh new ways for you to experience Warframe's co-op chaos.

Given its popularity, it's a shame that Warframe still doesn't support Xbox One X. While the game already achieves 60 FPS on the standard console, a boost in resolution would be greatly appreciated. Hopefully Digital Extremes is working on the update.
