ASUS ZenBook Pro 15 with ScreenPad now available starting at $1,750

ASUS ZenBook Pro 15 with ScreenPad now available

ASUS drew plenty of eyeballs when it debuted the new ZenBook Pro 15 earlier in 2018, largely thanks to the screen it opted to use in place of a tradition touchpad. Now, you can get your hands on one, as the laptop is now available in two configurations, starting at $1,750.

The main draw of the ZenBook Pro 15 is that ScreenPad, which is a 5.5-inch touch display that sits where you'd find a standard touchpad on other laptops. The display acts as a standard trackpad, as you'd expect, but it also includes an app launcher that works as an extension of sorts for Microsoft Office apps, Spotify, YouTube, and more. There are a variety of use cases here, including using the screen to format your text while working in apps like Excel and Word.

Aside from its main gimmick, however, the ZenBook Pro 15 packs plenty of power. The 15.6-inch laptop features a 4K Pantone validated touch display that is surrounded by slim bezels and includes 100 percent Adobe RGB gamut coverage. On the inside, you can pick up the ZenBook Pro 1 with either an 8th Gen Intel Core i9-8950HK or Core i7-8750 processor. Graphics options include an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 GPU on the Core i7 model, or a more powerful GTX 1050 Ti GPU on the Core i9 model. Both include 16GB of RAM, a fingerprint sensor, and 512GB of storage.

The Core i7 model is available now for $1,750 at Best Buy, and the Core i9 model is expected to be available from the ASUS store for $2,300 later today.
