Fallout 76 now lets you fast travel inside buildings

Fast traveling is a quality of life feature that makes it tremendously easier (and quicker) to explore the apocalyptic wasteland. With the constant threats of Super Mutants or radioactive storms, sometimes you just don't want to make that long trek across the map, especially if you're short on time. In previous Fallout games, players were only allowed to fast travel while they were outside. It appears that this is no longer the case in Fallout 76.

As discovered on Reddit, players are finding that you can fast travel while inside of buildings you load into, unlike previous games in the series. It's become second nature to assume the restriction, making it a welcome surprise for returning veterans.

We've tested this out on multiple copies of the game ourselves and can confirm that it works. So long as you are not taking health damage (by starvation, dehydration, or otherwise) and are not in combat with enemies nearby, you will be able to fast travel from the inside of a building.

This is great news for anyone looking to avoid a horde of those pesky feral ghouls or even other players that you just can't escape from. Though Bethesda is working on deterring griefing and harassment, sometimes the easiest thing to do is just fast travel to a new location.

In the meantime, Fallout 76 is out now for Xbox One, PS4, and PC, starting at $59.99 on Amazon.
