  • AMD is set to fully unveil the Radeon RX 6000 series on October 28.

AMD isn't quite ready to fully unveil its new Radeon RX 6000 series GPUs, but you can at least take an early peek at its new design. The company showed off the revamped look on Twitter today, including a glimpse at its triple-fan design. We can also see from the teaser that the card looks like it will take up more than two slots, much like NVIDIA's new RTX 30 series cards.

While a teaser image is one thing, AMD is taking things a step further. The company will also let you check out the card up close and personal in Fortnite (of course). You can do so by checking out AMD's creative island in the game with the code 5877-8461-8283.

AMD has its competition cut out for it. NVIDIA's new GeForce RTX 30 series cards debuted last week with what NVIDIA claims are the biggest generational performance increases ever. More importantly, they're also priced competitively, starting at $499 for the lowest-end GeForce RTX 3070. Between the two companies, we'll have plenty of new competitors for the best graphics cards.

Still, AMD is going to have a big October. The company plans to show off its next Ryzen CPUs, based on its Zen 3 architecture, on October 8. The Radeon RX 6000 series, based on AMD's RDNA2 architecture, is set for October 28.
