343 Industries partners with Limbitless for Halo-themed prosthetics for children

In the United States, there are approximately 1.7 million people living with limb loss. Many of them are children. This statistic is even greater if you take into account the world as a whole. Limbitless Solutions is a non-profit organization that creates affordable prosthetic devices for children. Using 3D printing, the company is able to offer affordable prosthetic arms that are functional and capable of gripping objects. Right now, children without limbs can get arms that look like they belong in The Avengers, but even more options are coming soon.

Today, 343 Industries — the makers behind Halo — announced a collaboration with Limbitless that will see Halo-themed prosthetic devices make their way to children. The studio wrote, "Today we're excited to talk a little bit about one such opportunity, as 343 Industries is proud to announce a collaboration with Limbitless Solutions to provide new Halo-themed, 3D-printed prosthetics to be made available to young heroes."

If you know a child who is missing a limb, be sure to point them towards this organization. There is a lot of stigma attached to amputations, and Limbitless is doing a great job to counteract that.

On a side note, here's hoping that Halo Infinite — the next game in the franchise — lives up to the hype. We want a truly extraordinary single-player and multiplayer game. There are a lot of hints being dropped that it might be an open-world title, though no confirmation has been provided as of yet.
