Xbox app for Windows 10 update brings new light theme to everyone

Microsoft has pushed out a fresh update to the Xbox app on Windows 10, bringing along several notable tidbits to check out. Perhaps the biggest change, however, is a new light theme — something that users of the Xbox beta app only recently got their hands on.

Prior to this update, the app only came with a dark theme. Now, if a bit of extra brightness is more your speed — or you simply want to match your system settings — you can change from dark to light from within the app's settings.

Other tidbits included in this update include changes for party chat volume controls, brackets for Killer Instinct Tournaments, and more. Here's a look at the full release notes:

  • New for party chat: Control your party's chat volume, and choose a specific audio device.
  • Get the bird's-eye view: Brackets have been added for Killer Instinct Tournaments.
  • We now take you live! Watch game broadcasts in clubs.
  • Co-stream with friends: Once you get an invite, just accept to go to Mixer.com and co-stream.

And there you have it. To check out all of what's new, you'll want to make sure you've updated your Xbox app to version 31.32.11001.
