Today, Ubisoft revealed Far Cry 6 to the world. The game leaked last week so we knew what it was about and when it was releasing, but didn't expect it to be this bombastic. This time around, you step into the shoes of a guerilla fighter trying to liberate an island. There were rumors that Vaas would make a return, and it seems like he's the son of the dictator you have to take down in Far Cry 6. However, only time will tell if this hypothesis is correct.

According to the official box art for Far Cry 6, the game runs at 4K resolution on Xbox Series X, Microsoft upcoming next-generation console. If you look at the Microsoft Store listing, you'll see that it also runs at 4K on Xbox One X.

There's also an "Optimized for Xbox Series X" badge that probably means that it's targeting 30 frames per second (FPS) on Xbox One X and 60 FPS on Xbox Series X. A few weeks ago, Microsoft said that the Optimized for Xbox Series X badge indicates a performance target of 4K and 60 FPS. Whether developers are able to achieve this remains to be seen.

Far Cry 6 starts at $60 on the Microsoft Store, but there are other editions with season passes and other items. You'll have to choose which one you want to get. The game supports Xbox Smart Delivery so your existing Xbox One copy will automatically be upgraded for free to the Xbox Series X version.
