AMD Radeon Pro Software Enterprise update launches with big performance gains

AMD has shipped out its latest update for its Radeon Pro Software Enterprise Edition suite for professionals. The update adds some healthy performance boosts for professional applications, along with explicit support for the Windows 10 April 2018 Update and more.

According to AMD, the 18.Q2 software update packs performance boosts of 47 percent in Siemens NX, 44 percent in Autodesk 3ds Max, 37 percent for CATIA, 14 percent for Creo, and 12 percent for SOLIDWORKS. The update also ensures the suite works with Windows Defender Device Guard to help guard against malicious attacks.

Finally, AMD has launched updated versions of the Radeon ProRender plug-ins for Blender and Maya for Windows. The new plug-ins include updates to the Uber and Light Shaders, along with support for volumetrics and interactive denoising, AMD says.
