343 Industries hiring artists for future '4K 60 FPS' Halo games [updated]

Halo 5: Guardians recently received an Xbox One X upgrade which increased the resolution to native 4K. The game now runs at 4K 60 FPS with dynamic scaling. However, what about future Halo games? Will they also achieve 4K 60 FPS visuals? From a job listing on Microsoft's Careers page, it seems so.

Updated March 13, 2018: 343 Industries has dropped many hints in the past that the next major Halo game was in development, but this is the first time we have proper confirmation.

343 Industries is currently looking for a Lead Graphics Developer for the next main Halo game. The listing revealed more details about the project and the resolution the new employee should be familiar with.

343 Industries, the studio developing Halo games, is looking for a Lead Graphics Engineer to join our team working on the next big Halo shooter experience... As the Graphics Lead, you will be leading, managing, and contributing directly on the award-winning graphics team, collaborating closely with the art teams and pushing the visual bar to inconceivable levels on future FPS Halo titles... You will drive graphical innovation and produce amazing systems and visuals for our entire future FPS Halo experiences. If stunning 60 Hz 4K graphics gets you excited, this is the right job for you.

The next Halo game will probably run at 4K 60 FPS on the Xbox One X so that's why the studio is hiring someone familiar with working with higher quality assets. Hopefully Microsoft will announce it at E3 2018 because it's been many years since Halo 5 came out. The focus this time around should be on story as much as it is on visuals.
