Hilarious Fallout 76 trailer emphasizes importance of working together

Today, Bethesda released a hilarious new "tutorial" about working together in Fallout 76. In order to survive the irradiated wasteland, you have to stick together rather than constantly be at each other's throats. For example, taking down a massive creature or a group of hostile players is easier if you have a team.

Not only does that make combat easier, but you can also build settlements faster. Gathering resources seems to play a major role in the game and that's just faster when more people are involved.

Even though Fallout 76 is entirely online, it isn't a massively multiplayer online game. At any given time you'll be playing with dozens of people, not thousands. It's similar to titles like Anthem and Destiny 2. However, if you don't like playing with other gamers, you can also experience the title on your own. However, it's much easier if you have help, especially when it comes to gathering resources and building.

Fallout 76 isn't a hardcore survival game like Ark: Survival Evolved or Conan Exiles. Bethesda's Todd Howard called it "softcore survival", but it's unclear what that means. It seems that the focus will mostly be on completing quests to gain rewards. That's the type of "survival" many gamers prefer.

Fallout 76 should launch on Xbox One and other platforms on November 14, 2018. The game features Xbox One X enhancements and is expected to achieve native 4K resolution on the console.
