Stranger Things 3: The Game launches on Xbox One

What you need to know

  • Stranger Things 3 just launched on Netflix.
  • There's also a game which chronicles the events of Season 3 available on Xbox One.
  • Stranger Things 3: The Game features local co-op.
  • You can purchase it for $20 on the Microsoft Store.

Today, Netflix released Stranger Things 3 on its streaming service. The show picks up after the events of Stranger Things 2, and dramatically increases the danger from there. If you want to relive the adventures, you can pick up Stranger Things 3: The Game on Xbox One, too.

Stranger Things 3: The Game is the official companion game to Season 3 of the hit original series from Netflix. Play through familiar events from the series while also uncovering never-before-seen quests, character interactions, and secrets. This adventure game blends an old-school art style with modern gameplay mechanics to deliver a unique experience.

Just like the show, you can team up in two-player local co-op to explore the world, solve puzzles, and battle enemies from "The Upside Down." There are twelve heroes to choose from so there's plenty of variety.

Stranger Things 3: The Game costs $20 and comes in at roughly 1 GB on Xbox One. It seems like quite a fun, little game, so if you love the show, be sure to check it out. Unfortunately, there's no online co-op so you'll have to get together with your friends to play together.
