The Division 2 gets Amazon Alexa Skill to detail backstory

One of Ubisoft's most-anticipated new titles is The Division 2, the sequel to the popular first game that launched back in 2016. The Division 2 is a third-person military shooter which tasks you with stopping malicious forces from seizing control of the government in the District of Columbia. It's unclear how the rest of the country is affected at this point, but we should find out soon enough.

Today, Ubisoft announced a "The Division Network" Amazon Alexa Skill. According to the publisher, The Division Network lets players to discover more about the game through the Alexa app on their phones or an Alexa-enabled device by saying "Alexa, open The Division Network." This Skill allows fans to access audio logs from an agent on the ground, piecing together what is happening in Washington in the events leading up to the game.

With the final audio logs added today, The Division Network is available for download on the Alexa app on smartphones, tablets, or through an Alexa-enabled device. You can purchase an Amazon Echo Dot on the retailer's website for $50.

Hopefully The Division 2 will be a polished experience when it launches this week. The beta tests went rather well, and the only criticism many gamers expressed were the lackluster visuals. Are you interested The Division 2? Let us know.
