Box brings new integrations to Microsoft Teams and Outlook

Box revealed some fresh integrations for Microsoft 365 customers this week. The cloud storage company is set to launch integrations with Microsoft Teams, along with a new add-in for Outlook on Android and iOS, along with some additional security and identity products.

The biggest addition is the new Microsoft Teams integrations, which Box expects to launch on March 31. "This integration enables users to access and share Box content directly in Teams channels or chats," Box said in a blog post. "All channel content will be available with the new Box Files Tab."

The new Box add-in for Outlook on mobile, which now lets you save email attachments directly to Box.

Box has also begun to roll out new security features for Box users in Office 365. "Available today, admins can use Box Shield to restrict printing and downloads of files in Box from Office 365 web editors (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) based on Box security classifications," Box says. Box says that, later this year, it also plans to add support for Azure Active Directory for single-sign-on, along with Microsoft Authenticator for two-factor authentication.
