Apex Legends 'Wild Frontier' season begins on March 19

Last month, Respawn Entertainment — now owned by EA — launched a battle royale experience called Apex Legends. There were rumors that it would be a free-to-play version of Titanfall, but it's more along the lines of Overwatch. The game seems to take place in the Titanfall universe, but it doesn't feature mechs or any other towering contraptions you can control. It's a standard run-and-gun shooter, where each character has various special abilities.

Tomorrow at 1 PM ET, Apex Legends' first season called "Wild Frontier" will be available to everyone. However, those who purchase the "Battle Pass" with in-game Apex Coins will get exclusive rewards and much more. You can read about some of the benefits below which were shared by EA.

  • Grab the Wild Frontier Battle Pass and jump into the arena, where every level you gain levels up your Battle Pass and unlocks exclusive rewards.
  • Instantly unlock the Lifeline Revolutionary skin, the Wraith Survivor skin, and the Mirage Outlaw skin with purchase of the Battle Pass.
  • Earn over a hundred unique items throughout the season. Everything you snag before the season's over is yours to keep.
  • Everyone who plays Apex Legends Season 1 can earn other rewards like a skin for an upcoming character.

It's great to see that Respawn is supporting Apex Legends this well. Hopefully this will give Fortnite some competition in the free-to-play battle royale space.

Do you play Apex Legends? How do you like the game? Let us know.
