Destiny 2: Festival of the Lost 2021 is arguably one of the most content-rich events that developer Bungie has released for Destiny 2, and some of the best cosmetics from the Halloween celebration are the brand new "dino armor" armor ornaments. Once players obtain these, they can use them to make any piece of Legendary armor they're wearing look like parts of a dinosaur.

Titans get a tyrannosaurus rex-themed set, while the Warlock armor is clearly inspired by triceratops. Finally, there's the Hunter set, which is based on velociraptors that, like Hunters, are quick, agile, and deadly. But exactly how do you obtain these armor ornaments, anyway? Here's what you need to do in order to get your hands on Destiny 2's new dino armor.

To get the dino armor in Destiny 2, you'll need to purchase it from the in-game Eververse store. This store is located on the Tower to the right of the Postmaster, but you can also access it at any time via the Store tab on the Director UI. You can find the dino armor ornaments on the first page of the Event tab of the store.

To buy each of the dino armor sets, you'll either need to spend 1,500 Silver ($15 in real-world money) or 6,000 Bright Dust, which is a currency that players can earn in-game by completing specific tasks and challenges. Right now, you can earn lots of Bright Dust by completing Festival of the Lost bounties that you can snag from Eva Levante in the Tower. You can find her next to the large decorated tree near the center of the Tower. Another great way to earn Bright Dust is to complete Season of the Lost's Seasonal Challenges and to complete the weekly vendor challenges offered by Zavala (Vanguard), Lord Shaxx (Crucible), and The Drifter (Gambit).

Note that the dino armor sets will only be available until Nov. 2 at 1 p.m. ET / 10 a.m. PT, as this is when the event will conclude. However, it's important to keep in mind that you'll still have a chance to get the dino armor during next year's Festival of the Lost (and presumably in all subsequent Festival of the Lost events) since Bungie always brings back cosmetics from previous events each year.

Destiny 2's Festival of the Lost is one of several events that precedes Destiny 2: The Witch Queen, which is slated to launch on Feb. 22, 2022. This expansion will offer an expansive new campaign, a new raid, a new Glaive weapon type, a brand new location to explore, and much more, so we're expecting it to be excellent. Note that Destiny 2: The Witch Queen preorders are available now, and that there are several exclusive cosmetics you can obtain by reserving your copy of the expansion ahead of time.
