Today, Capcom revealed release dates for future Monster Hunter: World add-ons and events. Starting on March 22, 2018, the Deviljho beast will be added to the game. This fearsome wyvern is sure to wreak havoc and bring massive headaches to any unsuspecting hunters. Deviljho materials can be crafted into new armor and weapon sets as well.
The Deviljho download also brings a free title update to Monster Hunter: World. The patch not only balances a bunch of weapons, but it also brings a number of bug fixes to the game. We don't know all of the details about the patch yet, but they should be available in the coming days.
On April 6 to April 20, the "Spring Blossom Fest" will take place in the game. Players can participate in a lot of fun, daily activities which involve a lot of monster hunting. The event not only brings new outfits, but also some party food at the canteen. Taking part in the challenges garners players tickets to craft Mega Man Palico gear. The gear will only be available from April 13 to April 27 so be sure to stock up on those tickets. Special new weapons will also be available at the time.
Lastly, players have been asking Capcom for the ability to re-edit their characters whenever they want. Today, the publisher confirmed that on March 16, everyone will get one free "Character Edit Voucher". If you choose to make further edits after you've consumed the free voucher, Capcom will be offering more vouchers for purchase at a later date.
The main objective in Monster Hunter: World is to simply battle gigantic monsters in epic locales. As a hunter, you'll take on quests to kill increasing difficult beasts in their exotic habitats. Gamers who take down these monsters receive numerous materials that can be used to create stronger weapons and armor in order to hunt down even more dangerous monsters.
Monster Hunter: World launched on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on January 26. A PC version is scheduled for Fall 2018. The Monster Hunter franchise started off on the PlayStation 2 in 2004 but then became a Nintendo exclusive for many years. Games like Monster Hunter Tri, Monster Hunter 4, and even Monster Hunter Generations were only available on systems like the Nintendo Wii or Nintendo 3DS.
Monster Hunter is regarded as a legendary franchise and since launch Monster Hunter: World has become Capcom's best-selling game ever. The title features Xbox One X support and looks stunning on Microsoft's new console.
