Sniper Elite V2 Remastered supports Xbox Play Anywhere

Sniper Elite V2 is an award-winning World War II sniping experience. You are elite United States sniper Karl Fairburne. Parachuted into Berlin amidst the Nazi's final stand, your mission is to prevent a rocket program from falling into the hands of the besieging Red Army. You must aid key scientists keen to defect to the United States, and terminate those who would help the Russians.

Sniper Elite V2 Remastered is the upgraded version which features 4K resolution on Xbox One X and other enhancements. While the visuals have been dialed up a notch, it also takes advantage of other consumer-friendly Microsoft Store features.

Recently, we received an image which listed Sniper Elite V2 Remastered as Xbox Play Anywhere on the Microsoft Store. In order to corroborate this claim, we reached out to Rebellion and were provided with the following statement.

Xbox One and Windows 10 Cross-Buy & Cross Play for SEV2R

  • If you buy on Xbox One you can play the game on Windows PC via the Windows Store, and vice versa.
  • This doesn't apply to Steam and GOG versions of the game on Windows PC, just the Windows Store.
  • Multiplayer cross-play applies the same way – i.e. Xbox One and Windows Store players can play with each other.

The developer confirmed that Sniper Elite V2 Remastered was Xbox Play Anywhere. We haven't seen a lot of titles join the service lately, so it's great to see that such a popular experience will support it.
