What you need to know

  • Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is a third-person action game from EA.
  • It runs at 1440p 30 FPS or 1080p 60 FPS on Xbox One X.
  • There are two versions to choose from, one that features more cosmetic items.
  • You can purchase Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, starting at $60, on the Microsoft Store.

Recently, Respawn Entertainment — the developer behind Apex Legends and Titanfall — revealed Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order's first gameplay footage. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is a story-driven third-person action game that Respawn has been working on for many years now. There is no multiplayer mode or microtransactions in the game.

You'll be happy to know that the game is available on Xbox One and other platforms. You can buy the game for $60, but there's also a Deluxe Edition with some cosmetic items. If you're an EA Access member, you can get a 10 percent discount.

The Xbox One X version features two modes. You can either play at 1440p at 30 frames per second (FPS) or 1080p at 60 FPS. We would recommend the latter because the boss fights require quick maneuvering and precision.

While everyone is loving the combat, the story appears to be "campy" and not as deep as critics were expecting. At the time of writing, the game sits at an 84 for the PlayStation 4 version, which has the most reviews. The Xbox One version is 95 and the PC version is at 90, but both only have a handful of reviews.
