Today, Ubisoft announced that Far Cry 5's latest expansion, "Lost on Mars", should launch on July 17, 2018 for Xbox One and other platforms. Lost on Mars is part of the strange Far Cry 5: Season Pass. This time around, players travel to Mars to eliminate an alien threat.

Do you remember Nick Rye from the main campaign? You step into his shoes and have to help Hurk thwart an alien invasion of Earth. The weapons have to be the best part of this content because the "Blaster of Disaster", "Hellfire", and "Morphinator" are a treat to use. Don't worry, jet packs are also available.

For those wondering, the final "Dead Living Zombies" adventure will launch in August. That seems to be all the content in the Far Cry 5: Season Pass so players don't have to wait too long.

Far Cry 5's main story is set in America, a first for the franchise, where it offers players total freedom to navigate a serene-looking yet deeply twisted world as a new junior deputy in Montana. Players find that their arrival accelerates a years-long silent coup by a fanatical doomsday cult, the "Project at Eden's Gate", igniting a violent takeover of the county.

Far Cry 5 is currently available on Xbox One, PC, and PlayStation 4. The game starts at $59.99 for the standard edition and features Xbox One X enhancements like native 4K resolution.
