PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds picks up live action Xbox One trailer

Ahead of the game's console debut expected on December 12, Microsoft has released a new trailer for PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG) on Xbox One. As first unveiled at The Game Awards 2017, the one-minute long live-action trailer offers a comical take on its battle royale gameplay, following the moments leading to the iconic plane jump.

After breaking countless records over on Steam's Early Access program, PUBG has rapidly become the hottest game of 2017. And having secured an exclusivity deal with the game's developer, Bluehole, Microsoft is pushing the game hard for its Xbox One debut. Launching in Xbox Game Preview, PUBG will continue to rapidly develop over time, yet both physical boxed copies and digital copies are already set to be available.

Microsoft is keen to stress that PUBG, at least in its current form, will be exclusive to Xbox One on consoles. Without official mention of other platforms, the game has secured itself as a major part of the Xbox portfolio this year, backing an otherwise lackluster lineup of games.

PUBG for Xbox One is scheduled to launch on December 12, priced at $29.99 for the Xbox Game Preview release. A one-hour long trial will also be available ahead of purchase, like other Game Preview titles.
