Acer powers up gaming laptops with GeForce GTX 16-series graphics, 9th Gen Intel processors

Following up on the launch of Intel's new 9th Gen laptop processors and NVIDIA's 16-series graphics, Acer this week announced that the latest updates to its gaming laptops will incorporate both.

The updates are present across the range, starting with the Predator Helios 300, which will include models that pack NVIDIA GTX 1660 Ti graphics and up to a 9th Gen Intel Core i7-9750H processor. The Nitro 5 and Nitro 7 are getting the same treatment in the processor department, but they differ on graphics. The Nitro 7 will have both the NVIDIA GeForce 1650 and 1660 Ti available, while the Nitro 5 will have models available with the GTX 1650.

Finally, Acer's more affordable Aspire 7 notebooks will include the option of a GeForce GTX 1650 and up to a 9th Gen Intel Core i7-9750H processor.

All of these models are in addition to the other gaming features available across several models of Acer's gaming lineup, including 144Hz displays and GeForce RTX 2070 graphics.

Pricing and release dates are still unknowns at this point, but it looks like there will be quite a few options to choose from once the notebooks hit the market. However, previous generations of the Predator Helios 300, Nitro 5, and Aspire 7 are available with prices starting at $850.
