Fortnite is a free-to-play third-person shooter with building mechanics. The title has become a cultural sensation due to its unique blend of expressive gameplay. In February 2018, Epic Games stated that the title was played by roughly 3.4 million gamers concurrently. Since then, that figure has ballooned to over 8.3 million.
Today, Epic Games released Update 7.40 which adds a long-awaited item and a few new modes. The biggest change has to be the "Driftboard" and the "Driftin'" challenge. The Driftboard was promised a while back, but it's finally available in the game through a Red Supply Drop. You can use it to race down slope and take out enemies. Two teams of 32 players will battle it out to be the last ones standing. It's quite difficult so you have to make sure you don't waste ammunition.
Aside from Drintin', Epic Games added "Catch!" to the game. In Catch!, players can only use grenades to take out enemies. This means that you have to perfect your aim because we all know how finicky the mechanics can be.
