Astro Gaming has announced its latest revision to its flagship A50 wireless headset at E3 2019. The 4th generation release of the A50 is set to go on sale this summer, and will have versions for Xbox/PC and PS4/PC.

Design wise it looks very similar to the current A50, which is no bad thing. Astro's headsets are pretty darn comfortable, and if it's not broke, don't fix it.

That's not to say there hasn't been some significant work done on the the headset for its latest outing. The biggest new development is Astro Audio V2, a combination of new drivers, wireless radio technology and custom sound profiles to ensure you get the very best aural experience.

Besides audio enhancements, wireless range and microphone clarity have also been given a going over, and the wireless base station that comes with the A50 is doing much of the legwork. It provides low-latency voice, easy pairing and effortless charging.

Additionally, Astro's Mixamp technology that you'd find in a dedicated box on other headsets, is built right into the A50 for integrated adjustments to game/voice audio balancing and volumes.

To better tune the A50, PC and Xbox One gamers will be able to use the ACC companion app to tune the sound to their own preference, as well as control the audio that leaves the stream output if you're a broadcaster.

The new A50 Wireless is set to ship in Summer 2019 and will cost $300 for both the Xbox/PC and PS4/PC versions.
