ASUS launches flashy ZenBook S in burgundy red color

If you were colored impressed by ASUS' thin and light ZenBook S at Computex 2018, the laptop is now available to buy in its flashy burgundy red color starting at $1,200.

To recap, the ZenBook S packs quite a punch in its 12.9mm thin frame. On the base configuration, the laptop sports 8GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, and a 13.3-inch FHD non-touch display. If you've got the cash to step up to the $1,499 configuration, you'll snag 16GB of RAM, 512GB of storage, and a 4K touch-enabled display.

No matter the variant, both include Intel's 8th Gen Core i7-8550U processor, which can peak at 4GHz (but don't expect to hold that speed for long). Each also packs a fingerprint sensor embedded in the trackpad, while the hinge can lift and tilt the keyboard for more comfortable typing. Additional tidbits include a Thunderbolt 3 USB 3.1 Type-C port, along with fast charging that ASUS claims can fill your battery up to 60 percent in 49 minutes.

It's worth noting that the burgundy color appears to only be available in the $1,200 variant at the moment, with the higher-end model sporting a black color. Still, if you're interested in a thin laptop with plenty of horsepower, you can snag the burgundy ZenBook S from ASUS, Newegg, and Amazon for $1,200.
