NBA 2K19 free to play for Xbox Live Gold members this weekend

Xbox Live Gold members can hit the court in NBA 2K19 for free this weekend. The latest entry in 2K's annual basketball title is free to play through November 18, joining Rainbow Six Siege in giving Gold subscribers plenty to dive into this weekend.

NBA 2K19 is another iterative update to the formula 2K brings to the table each year. This time, you can check out a new Takeover feature that lets you unlock special moves and abilities. You can also create your own MyPLAYER card to play with the big boys through the MyTEAM mode. And the Neighborhood mode is back, letting you play against others on the street in three-versus-three matches.

NBA 2K19 will be free for Xbox Live Gold members to play through 11:59 p.m. PT on November 18. You can install the game through the Gold member area on your dashboard, or via the Microsoft Store. And if you want to keep playing after the free play days are over, NBA 2K19 is currently available at a 50 percent discount for Gold members, dropping its starting price down $30.
