Ghost Recon Wildlands gets permadeath mode on Xbox One and PC

Ghost Recon Wildlands is heavily discounted during the Xbox Ultimate Game Sale, and to generate some buzz, Ubisoft revealed a new mode coming to the game. "Special Operation 2", the second free update for Ghost Recon Wildlands' second year, launches on July 24, 2018. It adds a "Ghost Mode", new classes, maps, and features.

Ghost Recon Wildlands is a third-person shooter playable entirely in four-player co-op or single-player from beginning to end. Gamers have total freedom to accomplish their missions how they want. They can choose to move quietly in the night, go in hot at dawn, or work together to execute the perfect sync shot that takes out enemies in one fell swoop. Each choice has a consequence, and players must improvise and adapt their plans.

Ghost Mode is playable alone or in co-op. Keep in mind that it includes permadeath, friendly fire, and the option to play with no teammates. Ghost Mode is going to be a challenge to say the least! Keep in mind that it's only for player vs. enemy encounters. However, if you like competitive multiplayer, then you're in luck too because "Ghost War" is getting updated. The player vs. player mode should receive two new classes, two new maps, and many new features.

Special Operation 2 will be available free to all Ghost Recon Wildlands players, and if you own the "Year 2 Pass", you'll have seven-day early access to Ghost Mode and the new Ghost War classes. Considering that July 24 is next week, those who have the Year 2 Pass can jump in starting today.
