ASUS targets creators with the powerful, compact Mini PC ProArt PA90

CES 2019 kicks off next week, and ASUS is getting a jump on things by announcing a compact new workhorse of a PC for creators. The Mini PC ProArt PA90 is described as a workstation-class PC aimed directly at professionals working with graphics and video, and despite its small stature, it packs a powerful punch.

Standing at just under seven inches wide and about 14 inches tall, the Mini PC ProArt PA90 certainly won't take up a ton of desk space. On the inside, the PC can be equipped Intel's 9th Gen Core i9-9900K or i7-9700K processor, along with NVIDIA Quadro P4000 or P2000 graphics. That's rounded out by up to 64GB of DDR4 2666MHz or 2133MHz memory and support for up to two 512GB M.2 PCIe SSDs and one 1TB 2.5-inch hard drive for storage.

Even while working with resource-intensive 2D and 3D applications, ASUS says the Mini PC ProArt PA90 will be able to keep things cool with liquid cooling for the CPU. When the temperature starts to heat up, the PC also packs a unique ventilation system that extends its top cover to allow for more airflow.

As for when you'll be able to get your hands on a Mini PC ProArt PA90 for yourself, that remains up in the air. ASUS says that the PC will be available in "the coming months," with pricing for configurations to be announced at launch.
