The HTC Vive Cosmos is one of those virtual reality systems that's so good it doesn't really need to drop in price very often. Right now, though, you can get it for just $649.99 at Amazon. That's $50 off its regular price and, outside of Black Friday, the only deal we've seen on the Cosmos in a year. You can find it going for this price at several retailers including Best Buy and Microsoft.

Six tracking cameras provide a wide field of view, expansive movement, and accuracy. The display has a combined 2880 x 1700 pixel resolution with a 90Hz refresh rate and an adjustable dial for visual comfort. Includes 2 months of Viveport Infinity.

Virtual reality systems have a wide price range with some going for $1,000 or more like the Valve Index and some going for much more affordable prices around $300 like the Oculus Quest 2. The HTC Vive Cosmos strikes that middle ground and could save you hundreds if you're looking for a premium system but aren't ready to spend too much.

Of course in order to run a virtual reality system this nice, you're going to need a nice computer to go with it. The Cosmos requires you to have at least a Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 graphics card or an AMD Radeon RX 480 or later. Other requirements include a CPU that's at least as powerful as the Intel Core i5-4590 or the AMD FX-8350 and at least 4GB of RAM. It's compatible with Windows 7 SP1 or later and needs a USB 2.0 port, HDMI 1.4 port, or DisplayPort 1.2 for video output.

Of course, if you have all that, get ready to jump into some crazy new worlds. With a wireless controller in each hand you can touch, manipulate, and interact with your games in a way you haven't before. With six tracking cameras, you'll have an expansive range of movement and accuracy with a wide tracking field of view. The Cosmos' display has a combined resolution of 2880 x 1700 and a 90Hz refresh rate for high visual fidelity.
