Rage 2 gets insanity-filled gameplay trailer for Xbox One and PC

Ever since Rage 2 was leaked by Walmart Canada, we've been eagerly anticipating some gameplay footage. Luckily, Bethesda decided to showcase just that in today's trailer. The Wasteland is as chaotic, edgy and dangerous as ever. Better yet, the visuals appear to be on the level of Doom, but it takes place in a massive open world instead.

The insane weapons and vehicular combat seem to be the highlight of the experience. The character design is also rather interesting, especially when it comes to the massive mutants. Rage 2 is being developed by Avalanche Studios and id Software, to deliver a "carnival of carnage where you can go anywhere, shoot anything, and explode everything".

An asteroid has annihilated eighty percent of the Earth's population, and humanity's numbers are dwindling. Ruthless and bloodthirsty gangs roam the open roads and the tyrannical Authority seeks to rule with an iron fist. As Walker, the last Ranger of the Wasteland and a threat to their power, you have been robbed of your home and left for dead. Now you'll have to rage for justice and freedom.

Rage is expected to launch on Xbox One, PC, and PlayStation 4 in 2019. No concrete release date was provided but that might change next month at Bethesda's E3 showcase. We'll keep you posted as soon as we have more information. Hopefully the game will be an intriguing experience when it launches next year.
