If you're looking for a 2-in-1 with Windows 10 that features instant-on capabilities, great battery life, and has 4G LTE support for that always-connected seal of approval, all in a premium package that also has Windows Hello fingerprint recognition and a gorgeous 12-inch display, the Samsung Galaxy Book2 is the device for you.

Is it a good time to buy this notebook?

Samsung released the Galaxy Book2 at the tail-end of 2018, meaning it's still relatively new on the market. You should be fine buying this device today, and with the Snapdragon 850 on the inside powering everything, it should be great for daily tasks like checking email, browsing the web, social media, and getting work done within Microsoft Office for years to come.

The best Always-Connected PC on the market right now

Samsung's Galaxy Book2 is an excellent device, but what makes it better than the competition is its beautiful premium design and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 850 that powers everything. While not the most powerful chip in the world, the Snapgraon 850 enables incredible battery life and instant-on capabilities that makes waking up and getting to work super fast, just like on an iPad.

Other specifications on the inside include 4GB RAM and 128GB storage, which can be expanded with microSD. There's also two USB-C ports, a beautiful 12-inch 1440p touch display that supports Samsung's S-Pen technology, and a built-in kickstand. Weighing around 2.4 pounds (1.1 kg) with keyboard and being just over 7mm thin, the Galaxy Book2 can be taken anywhere. It's also an all-metal Windows 10 tablet that still manages a different flair than Surface. The rounded top and bottom edges are flanked by sides that look cut off, making it easy to hold, with a flat area for the ports and SIM slot.

Great battery life and instant-on capabilities make the Galaxy Book2 an excellent device.

It being an Always-Connected PC means you can insert a cellular data SIM card and get access to the internet no matter where you are. It doesn't have eSIM capabilities unfortunately, so you will have to have a physical SIM, but that's a minor issue that shouldn't affect most. Samsung opted for a fingerprint reader near the rear camera on the back of the device instead of a Windows Hello-based infrared camera for facial recognition. Samsung cites concerns about orientation issues for facial recognition that fingerprint readers don't have to contend with. Again, this isn't a big deal for most people, but it's a small annoyance that keeps the Galaxy Book2 from being a perfect device.

Overall, the Samsung Galaxy Book2 is an all-round great Always-Connected PC with excellent battery life and a premium, slim form-factor that makes taking it on the go super easy.
