As we inch closer to the release of Microsoft's next major update to Windows 10, the last update still appears to be rolling out at a relative crawl. According to the latest monthly report from AdDuplex, the October 2018 Update is now on 21.2 percent of Windows 10 PCs, marking a significant uptick from the 12.4 percent coverage AdDuplex reported in January but still paling in comparison to other updates at this point in their rollouts.

Overall, the October 2018 Update is still dwarfed by its predecessor, the April 2018 Update, which comes in with a 71.6 percent share. Given the October 2018 Update's rocky launch, that's not entirely surprising; the update only reached full availability in December and began its automatic phased rollout in January.

Rounding out the list are the Fall Creators Update with a 3.7 percent share, while the Creators Update and older have been grouped together with a 3.2 percent share. Lastly, Windows Insiders testing the next update, 19H1, made up 0.2 percent of PCs surveyed by AdDuplex.

It's worth remembering AdDuplex's reports are based on a collection of around 5,000 Microsoft Store apps that use its SDK. The numbers are useful for tracking trends in the overall rollout of updates, but actual numbers likely differ. February's numbers are based on a survey of around 100,000 PCs and they were collected on February 25.
