What you need to know

  • Ghostwire Tokyo is the next spooky title from Tango Gameworks and The Evil Within director Shinji Mikami.
  • An action-adventure title, Ghostwire Tokyo promises to pit players against the paranormal.
  • Outside of an announcement and trailer on the Bethesda E3 2019 stage, no other information has been released.

Shinji Mikami and his studio, Tango Gameworks, have a new game in the works, and it looks like it'll be just as freaky as The Evil Within. Called "Ghostwire Tokyo," the game is set in Japan and promises plenty of paranormal action.

Mikami didn't dive too deeply into Ghostwire Tokyo on Bethesda's E3 2019 stage, but he did provide a brief teaser for the game. An action-adventure title, Ghostwire Tokyo will have players facing off agains the occult, ghosts, and more. And from the look of the teaser, it looks like it'll shape up to be a scare-fest.

There's no further information about Ghostwire Tokyo, including a potential release date, but we'll learn more about the game as development continues. For now, you can check out Tango Gameworks' last release, The Evil Within 2, for a look at the type of action you can likely expect from Ghostwire Tokyo.
