Metro Exodus goes up for preorder on Xbox One, season pass confirmed

Metro Exodus is a post-apocalyptic first-person shooter which has garnered a lot of interest in recent months. The game is a sequel to Metro: Last Light which was ported to Xbox One a few years ago. Years after nuclear war devastated Earth, a few survivors still cling to existence beneath the ruins of Moscow. They have struggled against the lethal elements, fought mutated beasts, encountered paranormal horrors, and suffered the flames of civil war. Now, in Metro Exodus, they must flee the underground tunnels and lead a band of "Spartan Rangers" on an incredible, continent-spanning journey across a desolate Russia in search of a new life in the East.

Today, Metro Exodus went up for digital preorder on the Xbox Store. Players have been able to preorder the physical edition from Amazon and other retailers for months now, but that served more like a placeholder because it didn't include any information about the season pass or what bonuses customers would get with their purchase. You can buy the base game for $59.99, or the base game and expansion pass (Metro Exodus: Gold Edition for $84.99. Moreover, if you preorder Metro Exodus now, you'll get Metro 2033 Redux at launch too. Metro 2033 Redux is the first game in the series, remastered for Xbox One.

According to Deep Silver, the Metro Exodus Expansion Pass allows you to "Discover new adventures in the post-apocalyptic Russian wilderness... expect hours of gripping single-player, story-driven action of the highest quality." We'll keep you posted as soon as we know more about what's part of the package.

If you love post-apocalyptic games like Fallout 4, then be sure to give this game a go on February 22, 2019. The title features Xbox One X enhancements and runs at native 4K resolution on Microsoft's new machine.
