Outlook gets new add-in from Procore construction management software

Outlook is getting an assist today for construction workers, thanks to a new add-in from Procore. The construction management software now can now tie-in with your Outlook workflow, letting you send files and messages directly to your Procore projects.

"Just as work gets done in both the field and the office, communication also happens in multiple places," Procore Director of Engineering Allan Smith said in a blog post today. "That's why we released Procore for Microsoft Outlook, because having easy access to all project communications and files from one place is important regardless of how information gets shared."

The add-in ties into Procore in two main ways. The first is that you can send emails from Outlook to specific Procore projects, so it's easier to keep track of communication around projects in one place. Second, you can send documents and attachments from your emails to Procore projects so they can be tracked in a project's "Documents" tool.

The Procore add-in is available now via Microsoft's AppSource site.
